Where to Find the Death Eaters during HHN

The Death Eaters this year will be in the mesmerizing Diagon Alley, which is a part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando. The dark corners of Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley and mystic ambiance of this magical haven provide the perfect setting for a journey into the realm of dark arts.

Typically the Dark Arts Show with the Death Eaters has taken place in Islands of Adventure, and coincides with the Nighttime Lights shows on the Hogwarts Castle, but has been moved to Diagon Alley for now.

Avoiding Scares by Staying in Diagon Alley during HHN

If you are like me and are not keen on the spine-tingling scares that often accompany Halloween Horror Nights, you can find solace in the magical embrace of Diagon Alley. This charming corner of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter remains a beacon of enchantment, separate from the haunting horrors of HHN.

Strolling through Diagon Alley during HHN allows you to immerse yourself in the wizarding world’s allure without encountering the scarier elements of Halloween Horror Nights.

Want do Dress as a Death Eater too?

Remember, during Halloween Horror Nights, no costume masks or costumes allowed, so leave your Death Eater mask at home. You don’t want to confuse any other guests into thinking you are a Team Member. Feel free to wear your Wizarding Robes, Borgin and Burkes attire, or your HHN merchandise.

Useful Tips for Halloween Horror Nights 2023

  1. Arrive Early: Beat the crowds and avoid traffic by arriving at least an hour before the event starts. September is less busy than October, so consider visiting then for a smoother experience.
  2. Stay the Day: If you have event admission and are a Passholder, you can stay in the park during the switch to Halloween Horror Nights. Not a passholder? You can purchase a Scream Early Ticket. Wait in the Stay & Scream area and get a head start on the scares when the event begins.
  3. Stay Close to the Horror: Book accommodations at a Universal Orlando Hotel to stay near the action. Hotel guests enjoy special access to a dedicated entry gate until 8 pm on event nights and exclusive access to HHN hotel events.
  4. Start in the Back: Head to the back of the park first to explore haunted houses with shorter lines before they get busy. Save the scare zones for later.
  5. Enhance the Horror: Add even more thrills to your experience with event add-ons. Consider the Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass to skip regular lines at haunted houses and attractions. Join the Behind-The-Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour for a lights-on look at haunted houses. Alternatively, opt for the R.I.P. Tour to get a guided V.I.P. walking tour with Priority V.I.P. entry to haunted houses.
  6. Follow the Guidelines: No costumes or costume masks are allowed, so leave those at home. Be respectful to performers, and refrain from using flash photography, video recording, or bringing food and drinks into haunted houses. Line jumping, foul language, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  7. Check Warning Signs: Pay attention to the warning signs at the entrance of each attraction to ensure you visit only those suitable for your abilities.
  8. Sealed Water Bottle: You can bring one sealed bottle of water through security and into the event.
  9. Prohibited Items: Certain items, such as wallet chains, flashlights, laser pointers, fish hooks, and clothing with sharp metal spikes, are not allowed inside the event.
