Pinspiration Day 4 – Katie

My casual style is best described as jeans and tshirts.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good
pencil skirt and pair of heels, but when it comes time to unwind, I’m happiest
in a comfy pair of jeans and a soft T.
This look combined a few of my favorites – heathered grey top, a casual
pair of jeans and a pop of color.
The perfect outfit for a morning of errands followed by a long drive up
to the mountains to start my weekend away with the girls.
I copied the basics with a pair of skinny jeans and a thin v-neck
tshirt (Old Navy), and left my yellow flats at home (of course I own a pair of
yellow flats, what do you think I am, a farmer?! 10pts if you get that
reference.) and opted for some brown TOMS since I didn’t know what our plans
were for the evening.  Plus,
they’re ridiculously comfortable and I never wear them, so I’ve been overdue in
adding them to an outfit.  My blue
scarf (Old Navy) was a sub for the necklace in the Polyvore set.  I have plenty of beaded necklaces, but
since it was a little cool in the morning and I assumed (incorrectly) that it
would be colder in North Carolina, I busted out my first scarf of the season.  Sunglasses are my favorite pair of aviators (Banana Republic) and the look is finished off by my everyday pearl studs and watch.
I was lucky enough to be able to snag a photo with my dear
friend, Justin.  (Yes, he is a
gopher but it’s funnier if he’s a beaver — just go with it.)  Justin lives on a winding road in Bat
Cave, NC and upon first glimpse of him, my friend Kelly and I hoped out of the
car for a quick photo op.  How could we pass up the opportunity?!  He
made for a great companion, as he too recognizes the importance of a pop of
color and accessories with his lovely red flowers.
