Finishing my Walking Challenge!!

So remember this post in October where I said I was doing the Walktober Challenge and wanted to get 10,000 steps per day for a month. Well I’m here to say, it didn’t happen. I could blame it on Olivia, but really it was me. It got cold, I went back to work, I got lazy and comfortable, and it just didn’t happen. So every month I’ve been trying again to do it. And failing…

Until April!! When I completed 300,000 steps in 30 days!!! I got off to a good start the first week of the month, and stuck with it! I’m so happy I did and now I will finally get that piece of furniture that Isaac said he would build me if I did it! I want it to go in the corner of our bedroom for socks storage and somewhere to catch barely worn clothes.

Any ideas for what my next challenge should be?

And video of Olivia trying to steal Isaac’s food (please excuse Bob’s Burgers in the background)

  1. Great job! What about a squat, situp, pushup challenge? Or have you seen Diet Bet where you put down money (say $30) and you have to lose 4% of your body weight in 30 days or you lose the bet. The winners all split the pot. Another alpha gam has been doing it and you make at least 20-30% return most of the time. Or if you are having trouble eating/not eating certain foods you could make a challenge to track everything you eat in My Fitness Pal for 30 days, or try 30 vegetables in 30 days.

I would love to participate in whatever challenge you decide to do!

    1. I was thinking about something to do with my stomach since it is still a bit poochy, but not sure what would be best for that. I know that aerobics really helps with losing fat, but I wonder if I just need to get my stomach muscles back in shape. I haven't tried the Diet bet, but sounds motivating not to lose money! I'm getting much better about not eating bad foods since reading "French Women Don't Get Fat", but think I could do better.

I'll keep thinking for the next challenge!!
