As I noted yesterday, I wear a lot of black. It’s basic, it’s slimming, it goes with
most everything – my closet is filled with it. So don’t be surprised to see me in a monochromatic look now
and again. I liked this
inspiration photo because of the accessories. A necklace and a little leopard go a long way!

I paired a dark wool skirt (Banana Republic) that has a black denim look to it with a black short-sleeve blouse (Old Navy) and black pumps (Nine West). To add a little interest, I topped it off with a turquoise beaded necklace (Walmart) and a leopard-print band watch (Timex).
Let’s all take a moment and look at this watch.
How much do you love it? Lots? Or lots and lots? Because I’m thinking lots and lots.
Best thing about my outfit was definitely my accessories. I like turquoise and black together and, of course, there was my fun little watch. Otherwise, I didn’t love it. The blouse is a size too big and needs to be sent off to Goodwill. It is a silky fabric and has a tendency to slip off my shoulder at inopportune moments (pretty sure at least one of my coworkers caught a glimpse of my pink bra strap today. Oops.) and was bunching up in the back throughout the day. I love this skirt, but it is also a bit big and needs to head to the tailor for an adjustment. I was having to adjust my skirt and top all day which made this outfit kind of a dud for me.
I did enjoy looking at my watch though.
Sometimes I think its the little special additions to outfits that make you feel good throughout the day!
