Oh girl fashion. I will never get a date while wearing you, but you are so much more fun than boy fashion (boot cut jeans and low cut tops all time…so boring!). Needless to say, this will be a pick up free day, especially since we have a whole contingent of Falcon’s cheerleaders downstairs for Spirit Day.
This has been a really long week. So I wanted outfit that was bright enough to perk me up. I saw the color combination in the gown in my Pinspiration on Day 1 of the challenge and have been trying to figure out how to work it into my wardrobe for the last two weeks. When I saw the second Pinspiration photo with a suit jacket and maxi skirt I decided that it was a good silhouette to work with.
As I said, this is complete, over-indulgent girl fashion. Kind of like dressing up in Mom’s closet when you are six and its ok to think ‘I NEED ALL THE COLORS!!!’
I really like the color combo and will probably pair this top with my orange crop trousers at some point this fall. The jacket may be pushing it. I like it better in the Pinspiration with the sheer skirt. Being able to see the leg helps with the proportions, but it’s keeping me warm in my cold office.
What do y’all think? Am I pulling it off, or does my six year old self need to stay in the closet?

I really like the colors together, but I think if the blazer were a bit shorter and had a rounded edge, like the one in the pin, I'd like it a bit better. I like the blazer, I just don't think I like that blazer… And you know I prefer "boy fashion" any day… bootcut jeans and a v-neck top are just comfy!
