I feel that I have to start the post with an apology to my fellow Yellow Jackets. Our hatred of U[sic]GA is so ingrained that I feel a twinge of guilt every time I reach for red and black in the same outfit. However, I am 500 miles from Atlanta AND my current grad school is Univ. of Maryland with the colors of red and black so I feel I am justified. Plus, it just looks really cute!

I really liked the colors in this outfit so I turned it into something that would be business appropriate attire. You can’t tell from the photo, but this dress is fitted in the ribs and flares at the hips so it has a vintage feel to it but doesn’t look costume-y at all. I received lots of positive feedback from you readers about wearing a solid dress as opposed to color blocked separates so I am going to keep that in mind for future purchases. The leopard was a fun touch and I ended up taking the sweater off for most of the day while sitting at my desk.
I managed to make it out the door with no harm to my jewelry and used two strands as necklaces, with the third wrapped around my wrist as a bracelet.
What are your thoughts on college colors/rivalries? For you yellow jackets, is black and red a combo that just can’t ever be worn again?

I really love this outfit and the colors. I don't think that it matters what colors you wear, as long as its not game day!
The dress almost looks navy blue in the picture, you could have tried that as well!
