Last night, Katie and I went to a match.com stir event. Alas, no men with eye patches showed up to stare morosely into their vodka cranberry (that really happened at the last event I went to), but Katie did get a number, and I made a successful foray into wing woman-dom which I am usually not so good at.
In the spirit of the month I decided to go with a second look for the day inspired by Pinterest. I have owned this gold and black BCBG belt for over a year and have yet to wear it once. I saw the gold and black in the Pinspiration and decided to give it a try. Since this was a dating event (and pretty chilly outside) I switched out the top and pants for a sweater dress and tights. I kept jewelry simple since the belt was a pretty big statement. I wish I had some gold bangles though.
I think it turned out great. I was warm and comfortable the whole night, and the higher neckline kept the tight dress from being too revealing. I probably will reuse this look for going out over the winter.
